Biker Mariachi

Picture

Biker Mariachi, a digital artwork by Jackson Lamme

This painting is about different cultures meeting, it can safely be printed to any size required, enough space to include infinitesimal details which characterizes much of my work. It was going to be a series of simpler paintings but I was enjoying the process so much I got carried away.  It is currently on display in my most important project "The Adoration of the Magi Castle", which is a building digitally modeled in 3d space.

The cultural elements of the Bikers and the Mariachi are the structure for the world in which it is set, which represents cultures ability to envelope the world of our perception .  An ancient Egyptian Goddess is also present as a ghost like figure set within the window of the restaurant, adding a 3rd element to this cosmopolitan environment.

This level of energy and intensity is a passion of mine and this painting was a labor of love.  The complexity of shapes and colors is a whirlwind experience for the viewer, and is supposed to be experienced like a bustling city or a cornucopia for the senses.

I screen recorded much of the painting and developed action packed timelapse sequences with the piece set within the digital environment of the castle, which you can find below and experience at your leisure.

Jelly Fish Render

Below you will find an eery render with the painting set in the castle with cosmic jellyfish navigating the scene.  I made and animated these jellyfish in Autodesk Maya.

Fluid Head Render

This was a project for school in which I took the head of a digital sculpture of mine called "Ballerina" and animated fluid inside the head, which was an assignment for a special effects class at the New York Film Academy. Biker Mariachi can be seen in the background.
