This is my oil painting

It's 6 ft x 8 ft!
It's a building and scenery that I imagined over the course of several years, and is still unfinished.
Picture
It's painted on about 100 sheets of card stock paper which is pressed onto magnetic sheets, and the board is painted with magnetic primer.  I used to transport the painting by just stacking the sheets up and putting them in my backpack.

But now the sheets are fastened permanently to the board, which is actually 4 boards bracketed together which is harder to move!  As you can see I enlisted the help of some African elephants to carry it while traveling across NY:

I have painted 3 different versions of this picture not counting when i first started with paper taped together as I kept expanding it.  I had the paper versions copied onto a new canvas that I then worked on.

This is my animated model

The above image is a "render" of the scene which I built. Maya is meant to render moving sequences but still frames are often helpful as well.
Maya uses a renderer called Arnold which takes a scene and creates very high quality images, or keyframes.  The above image is keyframe #147, see how it looks when I'm actually in scene and it's unrendered?
Picture
The idea is to remake the painting, although just the basics remain the same between the two.  I use a program called Autodesk Maya which is used professionally for animated movies and video game creation.

My scene is far larger than most scenes, I have over a million trees, and lots of grass and complex geometry.  Dealing with problems is basically what you do when your making a project like this.  The render was tough to make work, and there are "artifacts" on the scene, geometry is flashing, but overall the completion of the following render was a huge achievement for me.

The above version was finished in 2007, and I got to work on a bigger edition which was to be 17 feet, cut into 6 sections.

Here is a video clip about this version of the painting
